ok so my band and i are interested in playing pop-punk style music like blink 182, green day, etc... and i am looking to buy a new guitar and i want an Epiphone that is between $600-800. which models are solid, good quality, and good for that musical genre? links to sites like www.guitarcenter.com would be very helpful.
thanks soo much!! =]

If you're willing to spend $800 on a guitar, DO NOT GET AN EPIPHONE. Heck, I wouldn't even look into used Gibsons...

72' Telecaster Deluxe

the thinline sounds ok, but it's a bit overpriced ($900 for a mexican fender )

for that price you can get a parker with jb's or prs se

edit: or even a schecter

schecter would be great. you could a blackjack, they have JB/'59 pups, which are great. or any of the classic series, or even tempest custom. but epiphone les paul standard is great too for the price.

You might be able to pick up a used Epi Elite/Elitist for $800, and you can definately get a used Tele Deluxe for under $800.

Jenny needs to sow her wild oats with random Gibsons and Taylors she picks up in bars before she settles down with a PRS.

if you're using the hybrid SS series, and you already own a guitar that holds it's tune, i suggest you put that money towards a GREAT amp and a pup swap.
