Ok, so its getting close to my friends birthday, and he currently has a Epiphone SG with stock pups. A few friends and i were thinking about pooling money to get him a new bridge pickup. His current amp is a Peavey Classic 30. The SG has a Mahogany body and a set, Birds-eye maple neck (limited edition). He plays a variety of music, ranging from Instrumental to heavey rock to pop. Some notable bands are Satriani, Anberlin, Underoath, Skillet, Relient K and Switch foot.

Since I am only in high school, and have a minimum wage job, lets try to keep it under $125 Canadian, if possible. I am open to any suggestions, ideas, etc. Thanks in advance.

You guys are pretty awesome friends!

Joe Satriani uses DiMarzio pickups (or at least that's what I'm led to believe). He has a few signature models.. like the "Mo' Joe"

Back in the 70's I decided to take all the frets off Jaco's Bass thinking he would play worse. Man did that backfire.

GSAWS, I LOVE YOU.

Wow! $70 is cheaper than i thought it would be. Is it also good for high gain stuff? Any other suggestions?

Thanks.
I was originally thinking Dimarzio as well. How does the Norton compare to their other neck pups?
