Do I need to change the knobs and pickup selector? I am also putting in a pickup booster knob..

You need to change the pots to 25k and change your input jack from the current mono to stereo.

No you need a 25K pot, not 250k.

If you buy the EMG Zakk Wylde (81/85) kit, it comes with everything you need, and you shouldnt have to solder anything.

stew mac has 25k pots, but if you're buying the EMGs new they come with everything you need.
i used to be a mod, then i took an arrow in the knee.

Do the individually purchased EMGs come with pots? I thought only the two 81/85 kits did.

At least I can always swap out my 85 for a 60 with out rewiring. Yay Quickconnect.

You could always contact EMG afterward and ask if they have 25K pots.

I had to get a new pickup switch and EMG sent me one for free.

along with the quick connect clips every EMG comes with 1v/1t (25k) and a stereo jack.
i used to be a mod, then i took an arrow in the knee.
