Yo, I'm looking for a fuzz pedal to add to my set up, I 1st looked at the boss stopbox but I don't really like Boss distortions, so now I'm looking at the MXR classic 108 fuzz. I don't think anywhere near me stocks this pedal so I can't go try one out.

Is this a good choice or am I better off looking elsewhere? I've used a few other MXR pedals and they seem like a really good make.

Opinions?

Oh yeah, sorry forgot 2 add in that stuff lol.

My budget is around £120 but go a little higher

As for the sound, I'm wanting quite a warm fuzz sounds for my solos with one of my bands, I've been using the blackstar distortions but they just arent getting me the tone I'm looking for.

Fuzz is almost always warm. Can you give some examples of bands/songs which tone you like?

To start, check out a EHX (Russian) Big Muff or a Z.vex Fuzz Factory, which can do almost every fuzz tone, but is expensive.

EHX Russian Big Muff. Best Fuzz I've used, yet.

Any particular examples you can show us? What you're saying is still fairly vague, unfortunately.

There is something i heard which i totaly loved the tone of it, however i cant remember the dam song lol. the riff was along the lines off

A------------9h11--9h11----9~-----7~-----6~----------
E------0~--0-------0--------------------------

played very relaxed.

Its been pissing me off for days.

^That seems like it'd be a weird sounding riff.

Do you want a Jimi Hendrix type fuzz, a David Gilmour type fuzz, a White Stripes type fuzz, or a Led Zeppelin type fuzz?
