Don't try and sound like a band.

I sound like Muse when I play certain songs. It's come from listening to them. Alot. But it's bad. You should find your OWN style.

Here are some things that will help you sound like Matt Bellamy:

- Use natural harmonics
- Use a whammy pedal in your solos
- Come up with simple fast riffs
- Learn Piano
- Use a little flanger in some of your songs
- Use Fuzz factory in your songs

piano will help for starters, then listen to a load of classical music and take all your complicated theoretical ideas from classical pieces. Then realise much faster than 99% of musicians that how you sound is far far more important than what you play so make yourself studio perfect and put on awesome live sets.

Screw it, hello bandwagon.

Listen to a lot of Radiohead and Rage Against the Machine.
