I know I have a a really good amp, but at low volumes (1.5-2) i'm really not getting the potential it offers.

But i heard buying an attenuator really sucks tone....whether this is true or not, i don't know

so what's my best solution?!

Well, seriously, high quality attenuators don't suck your tone, you should be fine if you get a good one.
Wait.

Have a look for "The Ultimate Attenuator" (thats actually the name of it) and its effectively a re-amping rig in a box, which are 100x better than attenuators can be.

Like a THD Hot Plate?

And ya, i love playing loud...but when my mom runs a business downstairs and my dad is periodically sleeping in the house from night shift or w/e, it's hard to play loud volumes

I picked up a Marshall Powerbrake and I'm not disappointed at all. I haven't noticed any tone sucking and it does sound like the amp running hot at low volumes. I'm sure different amps respond differently and that not all attenuators are the same but I'm happy thus far.

I have your amp, as soon as it goes over 3, it sound sweet as a nut.

Get a tube screamer or somin just to bring out the valves abit.
