Ok, I don't know much about amps, all I know is how to play guitar and I need a new one. Ive had a 15 watt for two years and I need to head bang a little louder!

Any ideas? im lookin to spend about 200-250$...

For metal?

I say Peavey Vypyr 30, or save for the 75.

They're loud either way.

Or you could drive a low watt tube amp. In my experience, a 5W Blackstar was oodles louder than a 30W solid state. No digital fizz, too. But then again, if you want the versatility, the vypyr 30 gives you a **** ton of effects, so that's a plus.

I'm not entirely sure what low watt tube amps in that range can be used for your preferred styles. I just remember someone mentioning that the Blackstar HT5 is a good little amp to look into if you do higher-gain stuff.

This is my vote, also try out some Bugera amplifiers, notably the 333 and 6260

The Vypyr isnt a bad idea either.
