Death - Crystal Mountain

Really fun to play, and i learned all of the rhythm parts in like half an hour.
It's in D standard tuning.

her ghost in the fog by cradle of filth is pretty easy
also, zombie ritual and evil dead by death aren't hard, aside from the solos

Closed casket requiem - The Black Dahlia Murder
An Autopsy - The Faceless

Both in drop C

I was just about to post that.

Try some Mastodon, some Emperor songs are easy-moderate, I can think of a few Opeth songs that are easy but they're long as hell.

I think some people are misreading the OP's post. He said extreme metal songs which Opeth, Death, and diffidently Mastodon don't play.

Anways, I think Conquer All by Behemoth is a easy and wicked song to play. Also try The IVth Crusade by Bolt Thrower too.

I believe you are thinking of "t3h br00talz m3tulz".

Opeth, for sure.

Also, just transpose any song that's in E standard down to D standard (AKA play it in D standard).

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.
