Hey all, I recently restrung my strat but unfortunately I think I mucked it up!

The bridge is lifted up a bit (ie not level with the body), and I'm thinking I probably wound the strings too tightly. It even effects the tuning of the strings. If I drop the low E to D, all the other strings go dramatically out of tune (none of my past guitars did this).

So basically, how can I fix this problem? I was going to mess with the springs in the backplate, but I thought I would come and get your advice before messing anything else up!

Thanks in advance.

flip it over, add a spring or tighten the screws.

how much you do depends on how much the bridge is lifted.

Jenny needs to sow her wild oats with random Gibsons and Taylors she picks up in bars before she settles down with a PRS.
