I just put in two new pickups to my ibanez. Both Seymour Duncans. one the Custom 5 in the bridge and the Pearly gates in the neck. My guitar was working perfectly before the switch. Now the pickups sound wonderful except for one thing, when I switch between the pickups I have this awful popping noise no matter what I do. What is wrong and how do I fix it? all the connections seem solid.

Wouldn't that be a grounding problem? If I remember right its a grounding problem. You might check the soldering again, and double check that everything is connected to the right thing.

Got some dust in the pickup selector?

it's so cool to hate Gibson, even the federal Department of Justice hates them.
