So i replace the mini pots of my squier for full size fender pots 500k .

now is it normal that it dont fit through the hole of the pickguard ? my pots seem to be wierd as their is a gold part ( where the nut goes ) thats bigger than the split shaft part .

i bought original fender parts w caps etc..

the problem is the gold part dont fit through the hole .

here a picture

the last picture show how its stuck when i tried to fit it . .

any help would be apprciate . thank you .

(thats the set i bought )

but why the change? the differance in sound will be pretty much unnoticable.

they are both 500K, they both will make the same sound.... well pretty much.
