I own an Epiphone SG. I was playing it one time and I suddenly heard a loud buzz through my amp. The jack nut was loose, so I tightened it. Plugged it back in, no sound.

I took the backplate off, and the wires on the jack have come loose. Will soldering them back on fix my problem?

ok. It goes out occasionally. I still haven't gotten it set up properly though.

my epi SG does that too occasionally, a resolder does the job nicely, just have to make sure you attach the right wire to the right side of the jack.

Jenny needs to sow her wild oats with random Gibsons and Taylors she picks up in bars before she settles down with a PRS.
