I remember seeing this a while ago on the in the Metal Forum, i believe ours can be just as good. We haven't any games recently, so this could be fun.

Basically, someone describes a Hardcore / Metalcore / Deathcore / Any sub-genre band using 3 or 4 points that they believe are the best way to describe said band. These could be the band's style and what their music contains, their hometown, their (sub)genre(s), how many members, who they have recently been on tour with etc...

Everyone else guesses what the band is, ONLY USING THE CLUES ORIGINALLY STATED (unless the person was very vague, in which case, he may edit his question, and pick different clues). If someone guesses correctly, they may continue the game.

I'll start with an easy one:

This 3-piece mathcore outfit, hailing from Washington, USA, are well-known for their outstanding musicianship and brilliant live shows, they are currently touring with Thursday and La Dispute.

this is the gay version of guess the band game

in the non-gay version, you give hangman style blanks for the letters in the band's name, and supply riddle(s) such that the words can be guessed. i.e., _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ ; to come to a point (converge)

leave it to valderama to always come up with gay shit

4 piece hardcore/mathcore band from Washington who broke up earlier this decade. Their guitar player now plays in a fairly popular indie band and is known for using multiple DL4s.

First of all, I enjoy deathcore for it's complexity and it's the only genre heavy enough for me

That would take ages for one band.
Nice job on getting by the swear filter; I respect you.

^ I'll take it.

Formed in Orange County, 1997. Have toured with countless huge bands. None of the original members are in the band now. Drummer left in 2008.

Just so you know, there's an Orange County in, like, seven different states. I assume you mean CA because it's the most well-known, but I live in Orange County, NC.

Five piece melodic metalcore band. Have a song dedicated to a deceased friend of the vocalist. Last album produced by Devin Townsend.

Should be easy.

My next hint:

A five-piece Christian band that is often considered "bR00t4l". Their popularity will die out once the deathcore fad dies out.

Oh, sweet. I managed to show up late for the ABR show Wednesday and missed their set. Obviously I was devastated.

Hmmmm... all right, this band smokes a lot of weed and writes technical deathcore. They have two albums out currently and they really suck at metal-related trivia.

Okay, Will's not posting one, so I'm taking his place, and this is for you, Frosted Flakes:

This five piece deathcore band from North Carolina has not played together in a couple of years. Each member is in at least one other band, including a metalcore band, two deathcore bands, and a pop band who is big in Japan.

Glass Casket
Rumor that they would release a new album sometime this year. I really hope so.
