I was thinking. What kind of challenges would a cloned child face if they were introduced into the normal flow of society today? I suppose you could hide the fact they were cloned..

I could see clones being temporarily harvested for organs, but I assume it wouldn't be long after technology would allow us to clone organs individually.

Letting one enter society, however, is highly unprecedented. It would also make crime harder to track, as one could blame it on a clone or something.

Plus they might also be seen as "lesser beings" and have restricted rights.

Hmm yeah. Would the clone be eligible for free public schooling as required by the government? Would it be considered a proper human being? Would it be protected under the Veneva Conventions? It's really interesting pondering this stuff.

On a lighter note, do you think would they have a belly button?

Wait, what?
We'll probably be able to grow organs before we can clone humans, and if we did clone a human there's no way in hell we would harvest their organs.

I imagine that if clones were made they would not be given to the "original", they would be raised in a separate household and have no knowledge of their clonehood

That they might not have lots of other clones on hand to help when Palpatine issues Order 66, and they'd get owned by the nearest Jedi.
