Hey guys,

I'm getting into recording, mainly acoustic and vocals. Looked at the Mbox with Pro Tools today. Is the Mbox the only way to interface with Pro Tools? Or can I use any type of USB interface?
My Gear:

Fender 62 RI Stratocaster
Epiphone Les Paul Standard+
Fender Supersonic
Boss DD-3 Delay
Boss OS-2 OD/DS
Martin 000-28
Washburn D10s

To answer our question, ProTools is tied down to Digidesign hardware.
so ProTools LE can only be used with MBox, 002, and 003 units.
ProTools MP can only be used with approved M-Audio units, but bear in mind that MP is not included with those interfaces, it is a seperate purchase.

ProTools HD is tied to HD Core and Accel cards.
