Simply 8 tracks that I've been digging lately.

http://8tracks.com/mooglerancha/mooglerancha-s-october-2009-mix#

Aäkon Këëtrëh - Untitled 1
LLN, one-man band that plays out of this world ambient. This is off the second demo, Dans la forêt... Very odd, but very good. Eerie as hell.

ColdWorld - Tortured by Solitude
Everyone here has heard about them, I assume. I feel they deserve more attention though. This is a great track from their full-length, Melancholie^2.

Zaratustra - About the Poisonous Spider
A great little black metal gem I found. Bulgarian origin, recorded one demo and one full-length. This is one of the best tracks on the full-length. Very peculiar, but very atmospheric.

Abyssed - Bejaan
A Pakistani ambient black metal band. This track is off of their demo, Bejaan.

Carpathian Forest - Bloodlust and Perversion
Before they became a joke of sorts in black metal, they were amazing. Their demos are hailed as classics. This happens to be off the demo of the same name. Phenomenally atmospheric.

La Rumeur Des Chaînes - Erytheme
Black metal King Crimson! \m/

Lantlôs - Ëin
Black metal/post-rock combo. The good kind. Off their self-titled album, this track kicks major ass. Very experimental.

Caducity - Crow and Hooves, Lightningsdome Part 1
Epic death metal that gets nowhere near enough attention that it deserves. Simply delicious. This is off Whirler of Fate.

Enjoy, peons.

Awesome choices. Especially ColdWorld and Lantlôs.

Could I get a slot for this at the next available date (Nov 20th according to the list)?
I can take a road that'll see me through.

Fenriz should be a pinup boy. Woo!

ON topic, i've only heard of a few bands...well, half the list. So, not bad. I think this list will be one of my favourites

Great list Moogle, I've listened to the majority of the bands (with 1 or 2 exceptions), great job however. ColdWorld, Zaratustra, Aäkon Këëtrëh, Lantlôs, and La Rumeur Des Chaînes ftw!
gotta love the classic fenriz pic

The point of underground bands is their not popular or famous most of the time. Thus there is a good chance they suck.

Just listening now.

Zaratustra really impressed me.

Caducity wern't really my cup of tea, but not bad.

Coldworld i am very much enjoying, it reminds me of Burzum meets khors meets ekpyrosis.

abyssed is ok, but the guitar tone just annoys me.

Aäkon Këëtrëh seem ok i suppose. ive used that intro ostinato quite a few times, just in difforent keys.

Surprisingly its my first time listening to Carpathian Forest, and i dont think ill be in a huirry to try out new stuff.

ha ha La Rumeur Des Chaînes, ive not listened to this for a while. quite an awesome song.

Lantlôs is very nice indeed.

Heh Caducity. I have The Weiliaon Wielder Quest, I used to sell it on my distro. I haven't listened to it in ages.
