ah Tim Minchin, saw him live, he's pretty awesome. Without going to get my guitar to work out the chord, I reckon it's some type of 7th, possibly a major 7th. Could even be a 9th? Sorry for being vague, I'm all out of guitar playing energy for the day.

As I've been trying to figure it out, I'm thinking it sounds like a minor b9 #11. It sounds close but there is just sokmething wrong with it like that.

That does sound right, thanks. It's been bothering me for a while. Part of my problem was assuming it was in root position.
