you can get pre shaped bodies from Warmoth. they're fairly expensive though, i think they start at maybe 150 (cheaper woods unfinished) and go up to like 500 (unfinished). you can also get bodies that are finished. google them.

Try your local lumber yard. Also warmoth and stewmac have wood body blanks for guitar.

Ebay and online sources are good, but local lumberyards are your best bet to get properly seasoned wood.

If you live near Pennsylvania, theres a small amish lumber yard thats a hidden gold mine. I got a bass wood body, a wenge board and this unique wood called shadberry (similar to maple but with a wacky figuring.) that can produce 3 necks if i cut it right. all for less than $45
