I just finished sanding my strat body to 320 grit and applied 2 coats of sanding sealer. How manty more coats should I apply? I plan on sanding the sealer to 400 grit then putting primer on it.

If you want a smooth finish, apply the sealer until it won't soak into the grain and the grain is gone.

if your trying to make the grain disappear sand between coats i usually apply about 5 coats for ash , whatever it takes .when you sand it your looking for a perfect finish no shiny spots you don't have to worry about it building up you always sand most if it away
