What are some of your favorite 2D animated films?

For me, they would have to be 'Titan A.E.', and 'The Iron Giant'

I love Titan A.E, I actually thought of that when I read the title.

Same for me, they are both awesome

Lion King
Iron Giant
Secret Of Nimh
Mulan
Hunchback Of Notre Dame
Lilo & Stitch
Batman:Mask Of The Phantasm

If this counts, put South Park:Bigger, Longer and Uncut at the top of this.

EDIT: add Akira

It's a shame that these types of films don't get the kind of recognition they deserve. Companies like Disney try too hard to be family friendly, and the result is a slew of films with unimaginative plots, and shallow characters. Sadly, its because of this conservative image that Disney forces down our throats that all of the quality animated films get overshadowed. That's not to say that all Disney animated fils are bad, but they started to suck after they ran out of old legends, tales, stories to rip off and had to start writing their own plots.

A lot of Disney is quality, but yeah, SO many great animated movies that aren't by Disney that have been shafted in time.
God, does anyone else remember Prince Of Egypt? The animation and effects in that movie were spectacular.

Iron Giant is definitly up there in my nostalgia list.

Also, Akira is amazing, the bike scene and the Tetsuo turning into some sort of god fetus blob scene were amazing.

This is my kind of thread!

I'll leave out Disney productions for the sake of introducing some under-the-radar films...

Rock-a-Doodle, Secret of NIMH (or any Don Bluth production)
My Neighbor Totoro, Howl's Moving Castle, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (or any Studio Ghibli production)
The Triplets of Belleville
Tokyo Godfathers
Anything Pixar (except maybe Cars)

Feel free to discuss Anime, but don't turn this thread into an "obscure anime films that only weeaboos know about" thread. If you do, I'll start mocking everybody with the infamous "GIRUGAMESH" pic.
