I hope these links work,I'm looking for a good metal guitar for my 15 year old son..These three are what I'm looking at.He played the Rg5ex1 and loved the thing great neck and loved the edge trem.He hasn't played the Rg 370dx or the Shecter but i'm wondering about the lic floyed versus the edge trem.He likes all three but can't get a hold of the shecter or rg 370 to give them a go and look them over.I would be buying online unless I go with the Rg5ex1 which I would get from gc.Any info would be great. He plays mostly metal if that helps.

the ibanez`s either one they are very similar in both terms of hardware and feel, alot of peeps on here hate edge3 trems but that`s `cos they don`t have a clue on how to maintain a guitar

I have an Rg370dxl ( yeah left handed ). I think its a great guitar for metal, though i think the middle pickup is pretty useless, because its **** both for clean and for distortion. I didnt have any problems with the bridge yet.
