Nod32 bitches!
I've got something in my front pocket for you.
Why don't you reach down in my pocket and see what it is?
Then grab onto it, it's just for you.
Give a little squeeze and say: "How do you do?"

NEITHER. They are both a waste of money. Get Avira Antivirus.

This. He has it right.
Kaspersky [sp?] is a decent runner-up.

NEITHER!

Avast or AVG are better, and they're free.

McAfee is good but it's expensive.

Don't buy either.

http://www.free-av.com/

This antivirus is probably the best free AV on the market. Since using it, I haven't had a single virus (a couple of years) since I began using it. (Despite frequent trafficing of.... Dubious sites of various sorts.)

Combine it with a decent firewall, and you'll be set.

Norton and McAfee wouldn't prevent you from a virus if their life depended on it.

I'd listen to your friend Kaspersky is really good. You'd be better off with anything but Norton and McAffee they are both the worst possible AVs. Avast! is what I use but basically anything is better than those.

McAfee sucks balls I've had it forever now and it has done nothing to protect me, that's all I can say on the matter.

I just end up using malewarebytes if I think something funky is happening.

I use avast. It's free and does pretty much everything McAfee or Norton AV can do without slowing down your comp that much.

Beings you can get McAfee for free then I say get that one. I've never had a problem with it all the years I've had it.
I've used Avast and it isn't that great.

For the record, I did wind up on the receiving end of Viruses with AVG, however I've never received one with Avira Antivir.
