I have been playing guitar (Jazz, Rock, Classical) for about 3 1/2 years and have recently decided to explore a more latin-rock type sound. Anyone have any tips for getting a Carlos Santana, or latin-rock like sound? When i say sound i mean many things; like how to get a latin sound out of an amp, but also playing/improvising/writing in the style. ANY AND ALL tips are appreciated

Thanks

Any really good players i should know about??

Los Lonely Boys, maybe? They've got a Latin-Rock sound if I've even heard one.

There's bound to be a drummer here that can help you, otherwise check YouTube for tutorial vids.

I was surprised the first time I came. It shot two feet into the air. I couldn't stop laughing.
