any of you people that play guitar and sing, would you use a headset to allow you to move around the stage or do you prefare standing at the mic?
#2

Mic stand. Then just stand there and look like hetfield did back in '89. (even if you don't like him, you've got to admit, he does look bad ass in the seattle gig)

I'd just sing acoustically. I'm THAT badass! :

Yeah. I'd just play metal or something, and scream my ass off.

But really, mic stand. Just feels comfortable, sorta cool if you back off for a solo or bridge and barely get back in time for the chorus or verse.

Get a mic on the mic stand. It feels so much more comfortable than having that little diksuckin head set. Gotta agree with these people though, Hetfield is badass with the mic stance!
Some people just wanna watch the world burn. Wanna join me when I take my turn to pour the gas, light the match, see your world flip upside down and drop until it's inside out?

I love mic stands, they just feel... Right, ya know?

Mic stand

You can simply step away between verses or for a solo break or something like that.

If i did not suck at my instruments and at singing, and if i were in a band...

I would certainly want a stand. There are things that you might need to say outside of the aural range of your audience.
Yes, I use a Squier bass.

I like my mic stand pick holder, so definitely a stand. Besides, how can I move away from the mic to breathe if the mic is stuck on my head?

Tay Zonday is not amused.
