or below really...

I looked through the most influential music thread and there was no mention of a musician before 1955 and the only 3 mentioned before 1967 was The Beatles, Beach Boys and Elvis. Anyone listen to, i say, anyone listen to music before 55? Bebop, Swing, Ragtime and by listen to I mean like have it in iTunes or something. Lots of good stuff before 55 no one seems to ever mention or have any knowledge of any of it.

What? There was no sound (or color, for that matter) in 1955.

I know this because my grandma lived in 1955 and she's deaf and has white hair.

I'd have to say that considering this is a guitar site, it's no suprise, because the guitar wasn't widely used as a main instrument until the mid 50's. I know I personally don't really listen to anything pre '55 simply because it doesnt fit my musical interests, which are heavily guitar influenced. Just my opinion, but yes, there is still some good stuff from the early days.
