i am deciding whether to the the weissenbron or chandler rh-2. from what i hear, the chandler is a really great starter lap guitar and is a good price, which i can plug in.

however, i am a ben harper fan, and i absolutely love his slide playing (on a weissenborn). The only "weissenborn" guitars that are readily available at a decent price are made by goldtone, and the seem to get bad reviews on musicians friend.

i want that weissenborn sound of an acoustic but it doesnt have electronics, i guess what i am trying to say is, can i get a sound similar on a chandler? or which is the better deal?

I can proudly say that I work for Chandler Guitars. (only building pickguards, but nonetheless), i see Paul Chandler turn a few of these out a month and he spends so long getting everything to perfection. Each pickup differs though, as they are all handwound and such. But i'd say the chandler. it will be a great investment.
