My music is modern rock (3 Doors Down, Seether) and a little bit of Metallica and Guns N' Roses. I'm not really budgeting for a new amp, but I could afford 500. I was just wondering if it was a steal or not.

^ Even then it wouldn't be a steal. The 1960 cabs aren't that great and have poor resale value. I wouldn't pay more than $300 or $350 for a 1960, much less $500 for a poor amp and cab.
