can i upgrade the jackson liscenced low profile jt580lp double locking on the dinky dkmg
to an original floyd rose???

are there going to be any hassles or is it straight forward??

The Floyd Pro would probably be a better fit than a original, since your replacing a low- profile trem.

how is the pro??

is it equally good??

It would be just as good as the original. If I were you I'd try a Kahler trem. Much better design and function than the floyd's.

i hav two guitars in mind the jackson dkmg and the dk2m???

i want a guitar that can handle arpeggios like kris norris's, a litttle bit of metalcore and
melodicdeth too... and lots of solos

at the same time it should be a versatile guitar

what would you suggest??

Yes. The thing is, Floyd Rose doesn't build tremolo's. Floyd just designed it. They hire companies like Schaller to build there products. He's hired several companies in the past to build them, but the Schaller built ones are the best. Here is a video that might help explain better - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwGcY6T4xHc
