i need help unsure if its ment to be in here or GB&C but when i play the 18th fret of the high E i dnt get a sound its as if im still muting it , even when pushing it right down

what do i do ?

One of the frets is likely too low. Fret dressing is the best thing to do.
Always tin your strings.

is this easy to do ? could i do it at home ?

EDIT :also if i was to fit a new nut one of those Fender LSR roller ones (im looking at ways to keep it in tune more as the G string goes out after a 1/2 bend ) would i be able to take this out and place it in another neck when i finally get round to upgrading that

i recommend you not to do it yourself it's better to take it to your Guitar tech to have him do the repair.
