So I've been running stock pickups on my 2005 Epi Explorer and I think I want to get an upgrade to some EMGs and have them be passive so I dont blow some money on actives. What are some good cheap passive humbuckers you guys would recommend that are cheap and good for metal. I'm running a 75 watt Spider II if that helps at all.

Thanks for your time.

Stock answer: Save up for a better amp, because different pickups won't change much if anything on a Spider.

And when you have a better amp, you can think of some pickups that are not EMG passives, There are are so many better ones out there.

You'll find whisky very different, but try it and you'll grow into it, soon you and whisky are one, but still two, lovers dancing across a frozen lake under moonlight, wrapped in honey and warmth.
