I've just uploaded my first mp3! Would appreciate some feedback and C4C of course.
It's just the intro to an album ive been working on, it's acoustic with synth, and the rest of the album is similiar. The piano at the end may sound a little out of place but it links into the next song. Used a Midi to Mp3 converter - though someday I hope to record them. Only song on my profile!

Thank you!

That's alright man. Good start.

First: Are you gonna put vocals on it? (guess not) If not it could use a little more variety, I felt.

I loved the arrangement in the background. That is good work there. I'd like to hear the song following after this one, as the ending sounded really good. Good guitar tone either.
Nothing really to complain about. Good job.

Thank you!
I'm not adding vocals, the whole thing will be instrumental. I'm gonna work on the bridge part just before the piano, as I said it's all converted so the guitars are programmed! lol but I will record the album eventually. I will return the favour!
Thank you

Hey there! On the whole, I really liked it; it had a cool vibe to it.
The section from around 1:20-1:45 felt like it could have used more variation. It could be as little as changing the melody in the strings up a bit the second time through.

Please share more tunes when you have them recorded/uploaded!
Also, in the future you may want to experiment more with dynamics. This track was cool for what it was, but if every tune on an album was that static, it might get boring. Just something to think about! :-)

C4C - I have a thread up on this forum. It's also the only one in my profile. Called "Will you go?"

I work with midi alot and I know how hard it is to be dynamic, so I'm not gonna complain about this track being too monotonous. It did have it's charm though. i really enjoyed the composition and I felt that the song that comes after the intro fits well.
Talking bout the next song, I felt a huge MUSE vibe there and I can definatly see this turning into an "Absolution" typ record.

Thanks for all your replies!
Evil-Magician I agree about the MIDI. Muse are one of my fav bands, but this album doesn't really sound like anything by them it's more relaxing and simple, but I'm already working on my next one and it's gonna be darker and more technical so it should sound a little more like their old stuff. I'm trying to find a site to host the whole album so would be cool if people checked it out in full when I find a good site.

Thanks again everyone!

Wow, that made my day. From the first moment I could feel the emotion of the melody. I live this style of music more than ever and it really seems like a great intro. Especially the background that kind of "fades in" while you pick the guitar.

Not to much to crit I'm afraid, it sounds really good!

Looking forward to hearing more from you!
