You mean the U.S.A?
I think Bush wasn't as bad as they say (from what limited information I have). And Obama is neither good nor bad (he didn't do anything at all as far as I know), and the only thing that pisses me off about him is all the special attention he's getting because he's black (e.g. Nobel Prize, lots of media attention etc.).
#14
Well I wanted to find out because some Young Republicans of America tried telling me that the world is laughing more at us now because of Obama than Bush

The fact that someone like Palin can hold any major public office. The fact that the likes of Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh can have shows on major television and radio networks.
Oh, and you re-elected Bush, lolz.

Did the fact they were "Young Republicans" not tip you off to the possibility of bull****? I find it amazing anyone even entertains the notion that Obama is worse than Bush.

I was responding to the allegation that he has done nothing by posting a large list of legislation that he has passed already.
If you wish to make a fool of yourself by discussing whether or not social programs are a good or bad thing then post in the Politics thread and I'll pwn you there, this ain't the place.

From what I've seen, Bush is considered much worse (Obama is considered harmless, sometimes even a joke). What annoys many people about the U.S.A. citizens (mostly the ones here), is their over-developed sense of self-importance (obviously I'm generalizing). For example, the president being called "the leader of the free world". What? Seriously? The U.S.A. certainly has a lot of impact on non-3rd-world-or-fanatic countries, but being called the centre of the world is going too far. Also, something that annoys me specifically is when they refer to their country as "America". It's like calling China "Asia". Also, but that's going into unnecessary detail, the U.S.A is one of three United States in America, the others being Brazil and Mexico, and one of two in North America (the other being Mexico).

Bush made America look like a joke, I think Obama stands a good chance of turning that around, though many people seem to want him to fail.

You believe that most of the international community views Obama as worse than Bush?
Come on, I know you dislike the moderately conservative, but you can at least not allow your political bias to obscure what are objective facts. Obama is hailed whenever he speaks abroad, people protested when Bush arrived. Obama just won the Nobel Peace Prize, does that not tell you a lot about his international standing, whether you feel he deserved it or not?

Where i'm from definitely not. In fact, most people laugh at the opposition to Obama's plans - the NHS is evil and they have death panels who execute people? That Obama is a socialist? It's the lame Rebublican opposition making us lol

I don't see how you could vote for Obama (in this poll). He hasn't even been in office a year, and he's on the same level as Bush?

obviously there not on the same level. there is about an eighty percent difference between them on the poll.
