I tried it out in store.

Great neck, nice n light, good tuning stability. Overall a good guitar. I didn't but it cause I generally only buy guitars over a grand now.

marshall mg...

on that note dont get a half stack. you'll be more then satisfied with a 2x12.

as far as heads go look into peavey classic 30's, blackheart hot head, peavey jsx, bugera's

buying used will also allow you get more value for cheaper

07 Fender American Deluxe Strat
07 Fender Custom Telecaster
09 Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster
09 Fulltone OCD V.4
10 Ibanez WH-10 V.2
09 Splawn SuperStock

If you must have a Marshall, the new MA series looks interesting.

Used Vetta.
Matrixclaw isn't asking for 1000USD, somewhere around 750 for a modded Vetta II w/ floorboard.
Gear :

Ibanez RG2570 (has yet to post pics)
Crap Wal-Mart guitar that came in a 70 buck starters pack.
Marshall MG15, I know
