i guess it depends on where you go , my friend payed $100 for 9 lessons with a coupon (she goes to arcadia music i think) which is rediculously cheap
It's always the last day of summer and I've been left out in the cold with no door to get back in

Usually $200 for one lesson, then as each lesson goes multiply by two.

So,
Lesson 1- $200
Lesson 2- $400
Lesson 3- $800

etc...

Seriously.

any where from 50-200 a lesson. If he wants cheap, i would suggest looking for university students that could teach him. They are usually desperate for money and charge around 50.

lol. I was joking but apparently it actually goes for that.

For 200 a lesson I better be able to play like Elton John after one lesson and Bach after 3.

My mum is a piano and singing teacher and she charges about £20-£30 an hour, which is about average for a skilled, experienced and qualified tutor. However, people with less experience may well charge less, and people with higher qualifications can charge a lot more

Shop around. It's more important to find someone that you can actually learn from than someone who "seems" more qualified because they charge more.
