I am a little confused as to why you have 4 low end guitars and one top of the line, $2000, made in the USA instrument in your choices.

This

I'm assuming it's a mistake because you'd have to be pretty disabled not to make that choice for yourself

Yeah.. It's odd.

If you're going to be able to spend the cash on a Jackson like that, look at

RR1, definetly not ibanez, and esps are meh.

This, Ibanez probably wont get you that tone, and I have to try an ESP

I've got two Ibanez right now that do thrash just fine. It's more about the amp than the guitar. Most of your tone comes from that.

Both very good questions we still need the TS' answer on.

True, but my friend has an S, and it doesnt sound to heavy, well maybe because Its the tone I get from my guitar, and I plugged it in the same amp

Maybe you had it on the S or S/H configuration for pickups at the switch.

Cause I've got an Evolution in the bridge of my S2120xav and it completely rips.

Doesn't anyone think that he's just gonna steal the one for $2,000? Why else would he have it on there?

I'll go with what everyone else is saying, though I hate to jump on the bandwagon...

RR1.

RR1, though I think the problem is most likely your amp and you dont want to admit it.

EDIT: After watching your vid, the problem is most definitely your amp... Oww.

I agree with the other guy who quoted darkcheef- the RR1 is way out of the league of all the other options-

Since you asked which guitar out of the 4, the RR1 wins hands down.

You mean LTD are meh right? "REAL" ESP's are some of the finest axes there are IMO. I see people here talking all the time about ESP this or that only to see in their thread they are really talking about an LTD model. BIG difference in the two. Kinda like asking about a Gibson LP model when you are really talking about a Epiphone. Yeah I know....I'm being anal.

Oh yeah, TS.....the RR1 for sure!

i dont know i tried alot of guitars over the years and would like to mention i played virtually all of them.the trouble these days from what alot of the older generation musicians say is that people want to play with expensive gear to look good and yes the brand has a good reputation but your paying for the name which can be a waste if you don't know how to set it up it really all depends on what neck you like to play on what body of guitar suits your playing eg the way you stand and the way you rest your guitar when playing and hate to mention it but a guitar is only as good as the pickups in it the wood used to make it plays a role but not very much i'm not sure but ain't they made from the same wood??? which means that your paying more then what you need try not to rule out the ibanez because they make some really good guitars and their at an exception price but go for an ibanez atleast $1000 and over coz like all companies they make their good one's and their shit one's. plus ibanez push the treble out where as the jackson have a muffled sound to it listen to megadeth before mustaine changed companies.

The even bigger question is why mention 4 guitars in the title, and then put five in the post?

The whole RR1 one thing aside cause you've either found an amazing second hand deal, in which case don't hesitate and go seize it now! or more likely miss typed.
The LTD KH-202... very very bad guitars I'd steer well clear, their sound is awful and the playability is terrible really they are very poorly made guitars.

But no seriously ts if you want decent/good responses then post up more details if you want generic single word brand responses then keep the thread as is. And fyi last time I checked you could play thrash on any guitar if you put your mind to it.

Well- that changes everything!

The Rx10D is a great axe for the price, and I would say the best one out of the others listed. With the X series you get great build quality, decent pups, and Jacksons in this range have great licensed trems. Just make sure you like the Rhoads shape, and check the feel of those upper frets with the bolt on heel.
