Ok, searchbar'd and found nothing. What does the pit listen to while driving. I'm not talking about driving to the store and back. I'm talking about epic road trips, what do you listen to???

EDIT: specific songs please, I'm going to make a mixtape/ipod playlist/whatever
That, my friend, was a fail of epic proportions!

Why is it that some folks quote praise from other members in their sig lines?
Its lame.

Not post-rock. Just because on long trips it helps put me to sleep.
I always listen to Basshunter and stuff like that or Punk Goes Pop II for the lulz.
I have shit taste in music when I drive pretty much. XD

You want songs that last entire road trips?
That's dumb.
Like we actually have specified road trip playlists?
I listen to random cd's that I just happen to be in the mood for. Not specified songs.
I like the Wall for long drives. I also like, coincidentally, long drive for someone with nothing to think about.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned "highway star" by Deep Purple yet

I'll start then.

Highway Star - Deep Purple
Otherside - RHCP
Runnin' Down A Dream - Tom Petty (and the Heartbreakers)

I listen to some of the hard-rockish Metallica, notably Load/Black Album.

Them Bones - Alice In Chains
Turn The Page - Bob Seger

These are just to name a small few. I usually just get my iPod and put it on shuffle in my car, to be honest.

I mostly listen to The Smiths, Jawbreaker, and the Pixies. Sometimes pop punk bands, like Discount or J Church. I also find Psychocandy by The Jesus & Mary Chain, Remain in Light by Talking Heads, and Daydream Nation by Sonic Youth to be a great driving music. And you've never felt despair until you've driven alone at night listening to Joy Division; it's somehow horribly upsetting and incredibly romantic all at once.
