Okay, so I'm thinking it's about time for me to get some new tubes in my amp.
But the thing is, I'm looking in the back of the amp and all I see are 4 power amp tubes,
and in the manual it says that there are 4 power amp, and 4 preamp tubes.
I have no idea where my preamp tubes are.
My amp is a Peavey Ultra Plus.

They aren't behind the power amp tubes, I just checked.. what could they be covered by? I have seen the little metal cylinder like things that usually cover preamp tubes, and my amp doesn't have that.

Maybe they're hidden like a 5150?

Never used an Ultra so I have no idea, but if there's a removable plate on the back of the chassis, I'd start by removing that.

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

I found it, sorry for the late response.
There's a metal cover on the back that says "all tubes 12AX7" so I figured, what the hell, and I took off the cover.. yep, that's where the tubes were.
