for one, can anyome recommend me some good psychedelic stuff?
nothing, boring, or technoish.

And,

Flaming Lips, Roky Erickson, Butthole Surfers, The Pixies are kinda psychedelic, but you should give them a listen anyway.
1968 - 1996

Aside from psychedelic rock mainly produced during the 60s and 70s, most all the good (primarily) psychedelic music has at least some electronic elements, and is often mostly electronically produced. I have no idea what "techno-ish" means because it doesn't really mean anything. It could mean you don't want stuff with banging beats (though theres plenty of good psychedelic music with that), or it could mean you don't want anything electronic whatsoever, which would just be stupid.

I'm going to give you an album per decade:

60's: The Beach Boys - SMiLE (Bonus points: Miles Davis - Bitches Brew)
70's: Iggy Pop - The Idiot
80's: Sonic Youth - Confusion is Sex
90's: Pavement - Wowee Zowee
00's: Animal Collective - Strawberry Jam

All trippy as balls.

And since when have drugs been unavailable in the studio? Preposterous.

The Black Angels. The Warlocks. Darker My Love. Dead Meadow (the newest album is my personal fav.). Kula Shaker. Black Mountain. The Morning After Girls. Check any of these bands out on last.fm and then check out the bands similar to them and your set dude.

The Flaming Lips - Every album they've ever done.

Nektar (70's psychedelic-progressive rock band, insanely underrated), I suggest you check out the albums "Journey To The Centre of the Eye" and "Remember The Future".

Some songs of Nektars:

Remember The Future, Part 1

King of Twilight (you Iron Maiden fans might recognize it, as they covered it on Aces High.)

yes beach boys. They became extremely psychedelic at one point in their career. Pet sounds is pretty psychedelic, as well as some of their other albums such as smiley smile and wild honey.

Brian Wilson sat in his bed for years doing acid, cocaine, and a variety of other drugs. The other Wilson brothers were pretty messed up too. Before they completely broke down, they made an (unreleased) album called SMiLE, which is amazing, and hella psychedelic.
So yeah, the Beach Boys.
