Does anyone have suggestions for a good metallica level distortion pedal?! I was think of RAT but idk if any get distorted enough for metal. OR the Metal Muff

links plz. ur band preferences are helpful too. I like black sabbath, ozzy, GNR, metallica. thats the distortion i want and tone.

VERSATILITY is also important

Kirk uses a modified Ibanez Tube Screamer

and as Wikipedia says, James uses a Klon Centaur Overdrive but i dont know anything about this.

Last I checked, James hasn't used a distortion pedal since Kill 'Em All or so.

I like hard rock/metal, ozzy, sabbath, GNR, Metallica, and lower distortion stuff like raconteurs and pink floyd. I want versatility, quality, power, and reliability. if u suggest the RAT more, which one, theres like 5. i have a Slash epi LP and Crate amp.

post ur setup and band preference too so i can decide to take ur opinion if u kno wut i mean

TS-9 and tone bone hot british for kirk. don't know about james.

And amp distortion is the way to go for that real high gain distortion. You won't get metal with just a couple pedals for sure.

imho sell your amp and get a good tube amp, thats the only way to get a metallica sound
