Ever since I discovered BTBAM in April, their albums have been on constant rotation in my stereo; I'm actually listening to Colors_Live right now. So, I'd consider them my current favorite band.

That being said, my all time favorite is Pain of Salvation, with The Smashing Pumpkins and 311 tied for 2nd.
My Old Progressive Metal Band:
Acrasia
For fans of Between The Buried and Me, Dream Theater, Cynic.

My New Progressive Rock/Djent Band:
Wings Denied
For fans of Deftones, Tesseract, Periphery, Karnivool, Cynic.

Brokencyde. Flame me if you want, but they are great at mixing genres. They have the fun songs, and they have the emotional songs, like "I'm Sorry, I Am". These guys are going to be famous, mark my words.

Chinese Democracy is a great album, people need to get over Slash.

Proud fan of Pop, Rap, Rock, and Metal.

That's almost a difficult question.

But I'm going to go with MGMT and The Flaming Lips.

EDIT:

"I'm Sorry, I Am" is about as pleasant to listen to as a cat being put through a grinder, hard to find emotion in a song when you're busy laughing at the horrible screams.

And, unfortunately, they're already famous, so your words have been marked.

I almost don't want to flame you. That would give you too much satisfaction. But this is the most RAGE post I've ever seen all day.

It's funny how many people jump on the hate bandwagon. Brokencyde is a great band. That song I linked shows their skill as musicians, no matter what people say. It's full of emotion and the lyrics are great.

"Your eyes
They flow
From all the pain I caused
I lost my cause
I only broke your heart
Alone I cry
I tried so hard to break you
I love you
I hate you
Why wont you let me go?"

Really? Great lyrics?

It sounds like something a 13 year old would write after he got dumped.
