Whenever I am playing a song and I quickly flick the selector from the neck to bridge pickup, the sound cuts out until I stop playing, and then it seems to work fine

It doesn't happen if I change the selector from bridge to neck, and it only happens if I am playing something, for example if I play a note and let it ring out, then change pickup, the sound cuts. I replaced the battery for the pickups fairly recently, and it only started doing this a few days ago. Any ideas?

wire problem, open the guitar and take a look at the pots? idk ._. im no tech

DON`T SPRAY WATER ON IT

spray some contact cleaner into the switch, check the wiring and resolder if necessary, if that fails you need a new switch.

while you`ve got it opened up check the wiring to the pots and input jack just as a preventative measure
