Hi guys,

I've been singing for well over a year now, sometimes more frequent than other times, and fortunately I've noticed considerable improvement. However, one thing I cannot sort out is that my voice sounds as if I'm having a cold when I'm singing. I'm not really sure if this is referred to as a nasal sound, but I believe nasal sounds more like most sound comes from your nose...while in my case it seems that no sound is coming from my nose (if this still makes any sense).

Help would be greatly appreciated

you could be singing from the back of your throat remember to open your mouth when you sing try and breath from your stomach and have your throat in like a yawn position like sing and yawn at the same time and youll know what i mean
P.S. this is what the alphabet would look like without the letters Q and R

a nasal tone means your voice resonates high in nose area/nasal cavity, not that sound comes out your nose.

You need to work on pronunciation of words and let the sound come from the chest.
And no, Guitar Hero will not help. Even on expert. Really.
