Hello
Thinking about getting a new guitar, I play mostly metal like metallica, paul gilbert, and that kind of stuff, but from time to times like to play some other styles of music, so it would be nice to have a good clean tone as well.
I'm willing to spend ~450$ , give or take hundred bucks.

My current guitar is: http://translate.google.se/translate?prev=hp&hl=sv&js=y&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.musikborsen.se%2Fitempg.aspx%3Fid%3D26584%26artno%3D180894&sl=sv&tl=en&history_state0=
Most of you won't have heard of it, it's a mediocre guitar, bought for ~200$.

I was thinking something like this:
http://www.thomann.de/gb/schecter_omen_6_fr_extreme_bch.htm

http://www.thomann.de/gb/ibanez_rg320dxfmtg.htm

Any help is appreciated,
Thank you

A PRS for around 450?? Cmon man...thats like me telling the kid to buy a USA Jackson.

Anyway- Check out the Ibanez RG series- for 500 bucks you can get a very decent instrument.

Also, check out the Jackson X series- they have a great midrange line in the price you're looking for .

SE? Still somewhat over but not that bad. Don't think he's talking about the higher end models, at least I hope not... still not quite metal, though. I chose my guitar over a SE Custom, I thought the pickups, though still not great (they were stock), suited heavier playing better.

Between The Buried and Me would disagree

The schecters neck is much thicker than the ibby's. actually now that i think of it practically every other neck is thicker than the Wizard II necks.

The RG350DX is a good instrument for $400.

HSH combination and an Edge 3 tremolo.

Or you can look at Schecter's... Finding a used C-1 Artist 2 would be an amazing guitar. No heel, seymour duncan pickups. I think JB/'59 and coil tap. You really can't go wrong.

Out of all the guitars listed..get the schecter.. i have the 370DX but its not that impressive its good but i have also owned and played the schecter and with that you get a lot more bang for the buck hands down schecter makes very impressive guitars for the prices i will always recommend them

it's so cool to hate Gibson, even the federal Department of Justice hates them.
