So I'm looking for a guitar that'll cost less that 1100$. I'm looking for something with a nice clean tone like a jazzbox, but I want it to be able to handle moderate distorion like in some Queens of the Stone Age stuff. I did like the fender Jim Root telecaster, but I'm not sure if it will sound good clean with the EMG's. So, can anyone recommend me a good hollowbody/guitar with nice cleans ?
Thank you!
Talk to Tim Ellis www.tcellisguitars.com about his hollow Series 2 or hollow Mantis and have him put some P90s or P90 humbucker sized pups in it. Shouldn't be much over half your budget unless you specify really high end timbers, hardware and fancy wiring etc.
I pick up my guitar and play
