been looking to grab one of these amps and I found one on craigslist for 200 bucks CDN.

I was able to talk him down to 150.

The problem is this guy wants to just meet at a neutral location and do the exchange, this means i wont be able to try the amp. He said he has owned it for 6 months and from the pictures, it looks like it is in good condition.

Do you think this is a good idea? It costs 250 plus tax new here. What could possibly be wrong with it?

take an electric with you, pick a place thatll let you plug it in really quickly, like a store you know, or even a smaller local guitar store,
Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.

Bring a guitar. And a gun, just in case.

It's a terrible amp. I had to put up with one for a while and it basically sucks.

Also, this seems shifty so don't bother. You wouldn't want to be both a fool and a cheapskate.
