I'm looking for a good(relatively cheap, preferably less than $20/$25) book with lessons on different aspects of Rock and Metal. Anybody have any suggestions? I'm mainly looking for a lesson style book, as opposed to a compendium of common techniques. I'd say I'm at an intermediate level, if that helps.

Guthrie Govans "creative guitar 2" will make you an amazing player!! Checkout #1 if you need help with tone, principle technique, and theory. #2 touchs on all of that and some.

Go to amazon and look up Troy Stetina. He's got really useful books and stuff. And regarding 'Speed Mechanics', its not all about speed. Look at the buyer reviews as well while on amazon.

Troy Stetina's books are some the best that I've found.

So what? I wasted like 5 minutes watching DaddyTwoFoot's avatar.

Metalheads are the worst thing that ever happened to metal.
