Hey guys, Basically, my input jack became intermittent. So, as any newbie would, i assumed there was a loose wire or something, so i took the socket out, and noted that that there was one exposed wire, which i assume had come off, and then another coated wire still loosely connected, which after some tinkering came off.
So i soldered both of these back to the jack connection. Now i'm getting sound through, but INSANE levels of noise, especially when i touch the strings.

Any help?
Cheers

switch the two wires and you should be fine

edit: and I think threads with titles like 'help!', 'problem!'.. and things like that, will soon be warnable. just for next time, put something like 'input jack problem' or something like that..
