In my mind this would be the most godly show to ever grace the planet earth . And I think it is a highly possible situation and this is why....

I'm sure all of you know of Mike Portnoy's idea that they started: Progressive Nation. The past 2 years of it have been GREAT. I think for next year the line up should be this....

1st: Protest the Hero - about 45 minutes
2nd: BTBAM - about an hour
3rd headliner - Dream Theater - about 2 hours

I would ****ing love that shit and would pay anything to see that show. All GREAT bands and all technical/prog/metal/etc which fits the bill for progressive nation. Portnoy...make it happen!!!

My friend that is a dreamy line-up

but personally i would add some heavier progressive bands to play inbetween those headliners like After the Burial and/or Veil of Maya

that blows. but it was sick, although btbam played like 3 songs because they were the opening band. in flames and kse should've opened for pth and btbam.

I have my own idea for the sickest show ever:
NOTE: I am only counting in bands that exist right now.
1. The Mars Volta- 45 minutes
2. Coheed And Cambria- 45 minutes
3. Motion City Soundtrack- 30 minutes
4. Bright Eyes- 30 minutes
5. Foals- 30.1 minutes
6. The Aquabats!- 30 minutes
7. Cursive- 25 minutes

<.< Cursive with a shorter set than a generic pop-punk band? Hm...

they're pretty technical, they're not a dream theatre-esque progressive band, but they still have progressive elements

also the new album is going to have more progressiveness

I've already seen Cursive a lot, I do like them though. I haven't seen MCS live yet, so I'd rather do that. And MCS are my second favorite band, but only because of their old EP's and first album.

Can't say anything on the new album since I haven't heard it, but it's quite a stretch to call the stuff they have put out prog.

They're more progressive than most deathcore bands for sure, but I still wouldn't go as far as to call them prog.

BTBAM and Dream Theater already toured together, so it could possibly happen again, however I personally liked the line-up with 3. I wasn't a fan of them until I saw them.

Enslaved (45 mins - 1 hour)
Opeth - (2 hours)
Cynic (One and a half houres)
Anathema, My Dying Bride AND Paradise Lost at the same time (3 or more hours)

The last set arent "prog" but all three at once would kick ass
