So right now i own a Fender Cybertwin SE but im looking to sell it (probably on ebay) and get a new amp for xmas. I'm going off to college next year and want to get band together and play around town. Im looking to go ahead and get a really good amp that will last me a long time. My budget is up to around $2000.

Bands I Like: RHCP, Queens of the Stone Age, The Strokes, Avett Bros, John Mayer Trio, Muse, Rage Against the Machine, Eric Johnson, Modest Mouse, Foo Fighters, Dinosaur Jr., Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Eagles of Death Metal a lot of classic rock and some good ol blues.

Right now Im considering an Orange Rockerverb 50w combo as my top choice. Do you guys think this would be a good amp for playing this style of music?
Also any other suggestions would be awesome. idk much about amps and what to look for

You have a budget of $2K? Dude, walk into a guitar shop and try everything.

I'd recommend either a Mesa Stiletto, MKV, Diezel Einstein, Titan, or a JVM.

Seriously, you can't go wrong.
Bogner Ecstasy 101b
Sampson Era Bad Cat Black Cat 30R
1993 Mesa Dual Rectifier
Gibson Les Paul Custom (ebony)
Gibson SG Faded (brown)
Rickenbacker 650D
Eventide Timefactor
Diamond Memory Lane 2
Keeley Compressor (2 knob)
Korg Pitchblack
