Rust is corrosion.

Actually rust is oxidization. Corrosion is if your pups have actually been breaking apart or eaten away.

Rust is corrosion.

Technically, rust is the term for corrosion of iron or an iron-based metal. But they're basically the same.

Use metal polish. Expect some of the chrome to come off. If it's a pickup then the metal underneath is probably only slightly darker metal, so it's no big deal. Your bridge and/or tailpiece may be brass, so I'd leave the corrosion be if it's not bad enough to stick your saddles in place.

EDIT: I've been out Mr. Wizarded!

TS, if they're full-on rusted, an SOS steel wool pad will help to remove it. If they're just corroded, a bit of silver polish and some OOOO grade steel wool will probably work.

Corrosion is a product of iron reacting with oxidants such as: water, salt, and oxygen.

Is there any coincidence that it's SOS steel wool? If so, I think the name should be changed to SOP.

Nice. That's something I've been meaning to do: go see the USMC Drum and Bugle Corps again.

Take all the drill training and discipline of the USMC, give the f*ckers some drums and horns, and let 'em loose on the parade deck.

It's a sight to see...

lol. USMC drum corp is a bit different from DCI...

We got a nice threadjack going here, btw...

Other things aside, you've gotten This Corrosion by Sisters of Mercy stuck in my head. I'm going to be humming this for the next 2 months.
Skeet UK is awesome, he can get WD Music parts discounted.
